Recently, anphillia.com  expired and we acquired it
in a domain name auction.  Since you own the .net or .org
version of this domain name we wanted to provide you
with the opportunity to own the preferred .com version.

Our company specializes in recovering preferred expiring
domains and either selling them to individuals such as
yourself or building out our own web presence on those
valuable domains.

anphillia.com is a pretty darn good domain name and,
the truth is, the .COM is a far stronger version of the
name than then .NET is.

* .Com is the strongest brand on the internet.
When people think of a website, they intuitively
think ".com".   Odds are people trying to get to
your website are inadvertently going to anphillia.com
because they assume that's where they can find you.

* .Com conveys Professionalism that .net & .org
cannot match.

If you'd like to own anphillia.com, you can buy it
now by covering our acquisition costs and a modest profit.

If you have any interest I encourage you to act quickly
because this domain name will only be offered for sale
for a limited time.

btw....it just occurred to me - I should mention that you don't have to move off of your current site, or rebrand to the .com to get great value from the anphillia.com domain name. The reason that this domain came to our attention is because it is currently getting traffic. Currently, that traffic is lost to you. By acquiring this domain, you can keep your current site and simply redirect anphillia.com to your current site. That way, you won't lose this traffic at all, and you can, if you want, keep your current domain name as your main website.

To grab this domain while it's still available, you can buy it online at: anphillia.com or by phone by calling 1-563-823-4644.

For your convenience, I am copying my message from earlier today below:

Open response:

Here is my open response to this:

THOSE PEOPLE AT ClaimThisDomain ARE PLAIN CRIMINALS

If you buy from ClaimThisDomain, you support international crime and fraud.

If you do not believe, ask an international attorney, here are the facts:

I am German and live in Germany. In Germany it is illegal to contact people if you are already in business with those people. Doing so is called "Kaltaquise", this is prohibited by law as it simply is Fraud.

As those are sitting in America, I cannot sue them. However it still stays to be fraud, at least here in Germany. So they are acting illegal. They are criminals.

Also this is SPAM, and SPAM must be considered illegal, too.

SPAMmers like ClaimThisDomain fail to reach me in two respects

  • I will never buy a domain this way. Not for this irregular unreasonable price ($20, yes, $25 perhaps, but not more). So keep the domain. Choke on it. Kick the bucket. Get lost and leave me alone. I will not buy domains from you even if I sometimes would be in need to get some domain name you could provide me.
  • The second aspect is, that I am telling others about the fact that you are criminals.
Also I do not want to be ever contacted from criminals of your type, ever. I will openly publish all messages etc. I get from you or your type openly on this homepage.

Those Criminals must be considered lucky

I do not forward this to the officials here. Mainly because there are more important things to do than to bother them with such a type of small-headed imbecile way of trying to trick others. They cannot do anything about it, because this type of fraud is not covered by international treaties. Which is a major distress on this planet, but I cannot change anything, sadly.

Note that I sell domains myself. I do this for a reasonable price. And this is around 5% of the price of those people. And this still includes profit.

I am willing to defend my opinion at court

If you think I am in err, then go on and try to sue me.

It is my opinion that you are criminal. Moreover I am sure I tell the objective truth, as you use illegal methods to gain money from people. (In Germany is verboten to send eMails like yours!) Trying to sell something using illegal methods plainly this is called fraud. Fraud is criminal.

I am willing to defend this opinion at court.

About services who "secure" domains

I already paied high prices for domains from people who "secured" a domain.

However these do not need clearly illegal activities to do their business. So there are some Cybersquatters out there who do a more or less reasonable business.

ClaimThisDomain does not belong to those, as ClaimThisDomain is clearly criminal.

About anphillia.com

Anphillia.com was one of the sources of Anphilla, the base game from which the online community at anphillia.org evolved some time ago. However for unknown reasons the domain never was handed over to the gaming community, and therefor seems go be lost to the online gaming world now.

About anphillia.org

Anphillia.org is a gaming site hosted by me. It's an NWN based MORPG. This game is sponsored by SharedGame, which is my online game hosting platform.

However anphillia.org is starving now and I only let it run on my servers, as it ran the last years, and there is no reason to change a running system.

About anphillia.net

Anphillia.net is a branch of anphillia.org. This part of the community split from anphillia.org after some resentiments with the host of anphillia.org (me).

About Anphillia

There are lot of anphillia clones out there. Anphillia is a game setup with a rich set of myth, location and involved races. It is based on Atari's NWN version 1, and some struggle hard to update Anphillia to NWN2.

Hopefully, no other community considers to own anphillia.com, because .com is the wrong place anyway. Anphillia is nothing done commercially. So you can leave this domain to others!

Also please note: If somebody wants to take over the old Anphillia and would proof worthy, there is a good chance that I will hand over anphillia.org to them.

About prices

Handing out domains to people who need a domains more urgent than me is free of cost at my side. All I want is a refund on what I paied to have the domains (wich is around 12 to 20 EUR/year), however if you think it's not suited for you we can talk about it.

However if you trust me, I also will do domain services. In the case anphillia.org whis costs EUR 12 per year.

Note that this includes using my infrastructure, which can provide web and eMail services for you (not including hosting the game server, though). However both services have no uptime guarantee, only domain service is guaranteed.

Compared to the price at ClaimThisDomain this means, I offer service 20 times cheaper than ClaimThisDomain. Also I do not charge for "securing" a domain as I believe in such a behavior to be unsocial and amorale.
