Episode 1
CC goes berserk:

Well, now it starts to become a little bit funny:
Here CC is shown as dancing monkey juming on tables to greedely protect his own business. It's funny as this reminds me somehow on this funny Steve Balmer video.
Note that the rest of the story just is framework for the next episodes, so I will come back to this as soon as it needs it.
Back to reality
Those people writing the story really have somewhat of phantasy. A phantasy far away, out of some weird galaxy, which neglects baisc facts of life:
- Student's are not that stupid. They know that a full copy of a book can be more expensive than the book itself. Also Students only buy books if they have the money to do this. Usually books are too expensive, so they cannot afford them. If they would not do this they could not finish their studies. Perhaps the CC story is on an elite university with only millionaires children? But this is an exception.
- And there are libraries where students will find their books. They then will copy the passages they need. Often they do this because the want to mark the important passages and comment on it. This is bad if done in a book which belongs to a library. So they need a copy even if they own the book. As often you are allowed to take the book with you in the exams, but you are not allowed to change their content. But for learning you need your comments, so you would have to buy two books if you do not copy.
- As bookstores often do not have the books available which students need, the shops are too slow to provide the books if time is running short. So Students, again, go to the library and copy the books, often complete if they need them complete. And if passages are missing they can quickly solve this issue, too. They would not even consider what CC tells them.
- In Germany (where I live), shops are not allowed to open late. Perhaps the stories are only aimed to Canadians, but I doubt the ability to read is limited to Canada. So there might be some countries where their story becomes absurd.
